Founder’s Letter

“The beginning is always today.” —Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

For my 22nd Birthday, it was my wish to have a positive impact on someone else’s life. In order to fulfill this desire, I decided to personally fund the inaugural essay competition. In order to persuade others to join me in this journey, I wanted to make the first step. In taking the first step on this mission’s journey, I hope to inspire and persuade others to help support this worthy cause.

Essay Competition CORRECTED

Change cannot occur without putting words into action, and others cannot be expected to participate in a challenge if a leader herself does not. As a Nigerian immigrant, this initiative is dear to my heart because it is a positive impact in my home country.

It is my hope that this essay competition will be the first of many, and larger scholarships will be awarded in the upcoming months. One small spark is needed to start a fire; I hope you can join me in igniting this movement.

I have included the cost-analysis breakdown of how the event was funded because transparency is essential throughout the process of creating and maintaining a charitable scholarship fund. I am truly grateful for your support towards this movement and I look forward to updating everyone on the impacts this project will make in the lives of these young girls.

Cost-Analysis Report: EXPENSE REPORT FOR 50 PARTICIPANTS
