Tell me about yourself?

My name is Sochinenye Ikemefuna and I am 21 years old. I am currently in my final year of studying business administration in Covenant University, Nigeria. I am the first of four children and I reside in Delta State Warri, Nigeria. I aspire to be a renowned business consultant.

What was the hardest thing you’ve faced because you are a woman?

The hardest thing I have faced because I am a woman is gender discrimination in the society. Most people think that because I am a woman, I should not aspire to be a great person…my duties should be cleaning the house, cooking and getting likes on social media. Gender inequality is the order of the day but I believe that both men and women are the same and therefore should aspire to be great in life.

What’s the greatest advice you’ve received?

One of the greatest advice I have received is, “we can’t choose where we come from but we can choose where we go from there.” Some people tend to come from backgrounds where everything or some things are not right but what we do with our lives determine what we can be in the future. And having God’s direction in life is the best thing that could happen to a person. Let God lead.

What drives you in life?

The lifestyle I aspire to live in the future is what drives me. I want to be able to live a certain way and until I can, I’ll keep pushing. The fact that I also want to create opportunities for people who do not have is what keeps me going. Everyone is deserving of a good life.
