Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with great excitement that I share with you that there will be a 2024 Essay Competition hosted by the Anointed Girls Project. Over the past years, this competition has provided an opportunity for nearly 100 young women to express their voices and, most importantly, earn life-changing educational assistance.
However, this year, we are facing a significant challenge. As you may know, the cost of education has risen drastically due to inflation, especially in Nigeria. Tuition fees have soared, and for many of these girls, continuing their education is becoming an unattainable dream. These are bright, determined young women who have the potential to shape the future, but they need our support to get there.
In response, we at the A.G. Project have decided to expand the number of winners in this year’s competition from 3 to 6. This means that more girls will have the chance to receive financial support toward their education—a chance they may not otherwise have. However, this expansion also means a greater financial responsibility for us.
We are partnered with God’s Cover Church International, who generously provides the venue and manages event logistics. But the funding for scholarships and other expenses is entirely dependent on the A.G. Project. And right now, we have not yet met our fundraising goal. Without reaching this target, some of these young women, who are eagerly awaiting the competition, may be left without the support they desperately need to stay in school.
